Hue University is at a juncture of opportunity and development requirements on its journey toward becoming a National University before 2030. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy, Acting President of Hue University, shared with Hue Today Weekly the strategic directions and key solutions for achieving this goal.

On the morning of July 11, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization of Hue City held the launch ceremony for the 9th ‘Red Journey - Red Drops of Hue’ program in 2026.

For over twenty years, artist Tran Huu Nhat has quietly traveled through rivers, temples, the citadel in Hue in his journey of recreating sketches of Than Kinh Nhi Thap Canh _ the twenty beautiful landscapes of Hue mentioned in historical records of the Nguyen Dynasty.

On the afternoon of June 25, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University held a graduation ceremony and awarded graduation degrees to more than 1,100 new doctors, pharmacists and bachelor's graduates from full-time program 2026. On the morning of May 29, the Department of Tourism, in collaboration with the project “Hue - A plastic-reduced smart city in Central Vietnam” (TVA) project/WWF-Viet Nam, organized the event “From Check-in Green Hue to Plastic-Free Tourism - A Journey of Spreading”.

Compared to many other coastal localities, Hue’s sea possesses a distinctly unique beauty, gentle and captivating in its simplicity and softness. In recent years, that beauty has become even more alluring thanks to the new coastal road and the recently completed bridge spanning the Thuan An estuary. From there, visitors coming to Hue can begin their journey from the clear blue waters of Lang Co Bay, travel along breezy coastal roads through Vinh Thanh, Thuan An, and Hai Duong, before continuing toward the peaceful seaside area of Quang Dien.

On the afternoon of May 19, the exhibition “Hue - A Historical Legacy and a Journey of Rising in a New Era” was organized by the City Museum of History at Huong Tra High School in Huong Tra Ward.

Beyond a mode of transportation, the heritage train has evolved into a space where travelers can not only admire the scenery but also experience the region’s historical and cultural richness. Through the Hue - Danang journey, rail tourism is carving out a new path, where each trip does more than connect destinations; it creates experiences that leave lasting emotional impressions.

On the morning of May 3, the City Red Cross Society, in coordination with the People’s Committee of An Cuu Ward, held the ceremony to launch the “Humanitarian Month” 2026 under the theme “80 years - A Journey of Compassion for the Community”.

Hue Community Ao Dai Week 2024 with a series of activities and events last June has contributed to promoting culture, attracting tourism, and socio-economic development.

The railway line connecting Hue to Da Nang via the Hai Van Pass spans approximately 100 kilometers and is considered one of the most beautiful railway routes in the country.
