The city has undergone a process of accumulation and infrastructure investment, transforming its urban landscape. Completed urban infrastructure projects have largely met the requirements for connecting the central urban area with satellite towns, creating momentum for the city’s socio-economic development.

On December 2nd, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Khac Toan held a meeting with representatives of Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park Joint Venture Company (VSIP) to hear a report on several proposed investment projects in the city.

On October 3rd, representatives of the Management Board of the city’s Economic and Industrial Zones reported that the area has attracted many major projects. From now until the end of 2025, six more projects will be invited, with a total investment of about 10 trillion VND.

This is considered an important legal basis to implement sub-zone planning projects, urban embellishment, and attracting strategic investment, gradually transforming the economic zone into the southern development hub of Hue City.

Many major projects that have completed investment procedures and begun construction in the early months of the year are expected to create new momentum to help Hue thrive.

Along with innovations in investment promotion activities, the government’s support in promoting projects acts like a “magnet” attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises to Thua Thien Hue (now known as Hue City) (*).

Most public investment projects in the locality witness the acceleration of the construction progress of necessary items before the rainy season. This is an important factor to ensure the progress of disbursement procedures in the coming time.

Many projects worth billions, tens of billions have been granted investment registration certificates, investment approval decisions, affirming the position of Thua Thien Hue. Not to mention the "turning the situation around" in creating high values, but those projects are evidence that the province has made breakthroughs in attracting investment.

Thua Thien Hue prioritizes mobilizing resources, focusing on accelerating investment in key infrastructure development projects. At the same time, the city gradually improves the investment environment to attract more large enterprises.
