Just one year after becoming the country’s sixth centrally governed municipality, Hue City has begun a new and more dynamic development journey. A series of key transport infrastructure projects have been invested in and completed, contributing to a transformation of the urban landscape and opening up numerous opportunities for local socio-economic development.

Hue’s transportation and urban infrastructure have undergone significant changes in recent times, with a series of large-scale key projects being invested in and implemented, opening up new connectivity spaces for the city.

Hue is becoming increasingly modern and vibrant thanks to key transportation projects that are being synchronously invested in and developed.

Numerous riverside walking paths along the Perfume and Nhu Y rivers have been and are being invested in and constructed. These not only enhance the urban aesthetics of the city but also serve as key highlights for tourism development.

Thuan Hoa District Green Park Center is accelerating construction progress on the pedestrian path project running along the Huong River, from Toa Kham wharf to the foot of Dap Da (Stone Dam).

Kim Doi village, Quang Thanh commune, Quang Dien district is known as a bustling place for producing dried noodle sheets during the off-season. Recently, with the support of mechanisms and policies from functional departments and the locality, the people of Kim Doi have invested more in machinery, expanded production with higher productivity and quality, and brought their products to distant markets, creating job opportunities for hundreds of local workers with stable incomes... Notably, dried noodle sheets in Kim Doi have recently been voted as a typical agricultural product of the province.

Many key traffic projects and works have been invested in, not only to facilitate trade but also to create momentum to promote the province's socio-economic development.

On the morning of March 26, the groundbreaking ceremony for the EON Industry Vietnam helmet manufacturing factory was held at Gilimex Industrial Park (Phu Bai Ward, Huong Thuy Town). The project is invested by EON Industry Vietnam Co., Ltd., a member of EON helmet group.

Phu Son Waste Treatment Plant (in Phu Son commune, Huong Thuy town) was invested in and built by EB Environmental Energy Ltd. Co. at a cost of roughly 1.7 trillion Vietnamese dong. The plant officially commence operations at the end of January 2024, playing an crucial role in effectively addressing the waste management issue and ensuring environmental hygiene in Thua Thien Hue province - a pressing concern for the community as landfills in Thuy Phuong have reached capacity, disrupting residents’ lives with foul odors emanating from overflowing landfills.

“The government will enhance activities and support solutions for FDI enterprises” affirmed Mr. Phan Quy Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, at the conference “Meeting with foreign-invested enterprises in Thua Thien Hue province in 2023” organized by the Planning and Investment Department and the FDI Club of Thua Thien Hue on the afternoon of December 19.
