Every year, tens of thousands of pages of Han-Nom (Sino-Nom) documents scattered across various locations in Hue City are digitized. Little do people know that these documents have existed for centuries and have faced the risk of deterioration for various reasons before being accessed.

An exhibition commemorating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025) and welcoming the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025 was organized by Hue City History Museum. The exhibition opened on January 22 at 268 Dien Bien Phu Street, Truong An Ward, Thuan Hoa District.
Collecting Hue heritage documents from France

In an effort to collect and duplicate documents for the work of relic renovation and preservation, Hue Monuments Conservation Center has sent its staff to the Overseas National Archives (ANOM) in the city of Aix en Provence and the École Française d'Extrême-Orient (EFEO) in Paris to access the source of documents related to the Nguyen Dynasty.
Reaching villages to digitize Han Nom documents

Hundreds of thousands of Han Nom (Chinese-Nom script) document pages scattered in many villages and clans across the province have been processed and digitized in a scientific and methodical manner. Few know that this work was silently undertaken by a group of officers and experts of the Thua Thien Hue General Library. Many Han Nom documents after being digitized were also published to the surprise of the public and experts.
Donating precious artifacts to the History museum

Many of the dozens of artifacts recently received by the Thua Thien Hue History Museum from donors are considered extremely rare by experts. These artifacts are cultural heritage associated with the land, people, cultural life, the period of resistance against invaders, and the construction and defense of the Fatherland by the army and people of Thua Thien Hue.

130 rare Sino-Vietnamese Demotic documents, including conferring ordinance, recognitions, diplomas, and other documents, which have been digitized and reconstructed, have just been exhibited and showcased to the public by Thua Thien Hue General Library on the morning of December 15 at the library space (29A Le Quy Don street, Hue City).
