During their spring outings, beyond visiting heritage sites and familiar attractions, many travelers to Hue have chosen a distinctive way to experience Tet: seeking out traditional craft spaces, personally experiencing hands-on activities, and creating handmade products imbued with the rich cultural identity of Hue Ancient Capital.

On the evening of February 7, at Kim Long Park in front of Kim Long Communal House, Kim Long Ward People’s Committee held the opening ceremony of the program “Kim Long Tet - Where Tradition Shines” 2026. The event is a hallmark community cultural activity that recreates the traditional Tet atmosphere while honoring and promoting the distinctive cultural values of Hue City - the historically rich land along the Huong River.

From February 7 to 15, 2026 (corresponding to the 20th to 28th days of the Lunar December of the Year of At Ty), the People’s Committee of Hoa Chau Ward will organize the “Hoa Chau Tet Festival” along Bao Vinh Pedestrian Street. The event will feature a wide range of distinctive cultural and community activities, helping to create a lively and joyful atmosphere for residents in celebration of the traditional Tet holiday of Binh Ngo 2026.

After a vibrant year featuring a wide array of large-scale, culturally rich programs and activities, the National Tourism Year – Hue 2025 officially came to a close with a closing ceremony combined with a special art performance on the evening of December 20, leaving lasting impressions on local residents and visitors alike.

In celebration of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day on November 23, Hue Monuments Conservation Center will organize a series of educational, exhibition, and experiential activities to honor the heritage values of the Ancient Capital. These activities aim to spread appreciation for cultural heritage within the community, especially among young people.

With special scale, character, and significance, the series of activities under “Vietnam - Republic of Korea Cultural Day 2025” held in Hue on September 27 - 28 attracted a great number of locals, domestic and international tourists, as well as international friends.

Organizing STEAM educational experiences for students; a warm art night dedicated to mothers; a journey carrying books to a remote village; and a discussion with young people about French architecture, etc., these activities gave August a warm start at Hue Book and Culture Space - a cultural meeting place that, despite being new, has become a cherished part of Hue.

On July 31st, a delegation from Okinawa Prefecture, Japan, including 16 high school students along with representatives from Okinawa Prefectural Government and Japan Overseas Cooperative Association (JOCA) Okinawa Office, arrived in Hue City to participate in a cultural exchange and homestay program as part of the “OIC Youth’s 2025” program. This event is one of the key activities under the Japan-Hue 2025 Homestay and Cultural Exchange Program.

On July 10, Ms. Sophie Maysonnave - Counselor for Cooperation and Cultural Activities at the French Embassy in Vietnam, and Director of the French Institute in Vietnam had an official meeting with Hue Monuments Conservation Center before concluding her term of working service in Vietnam.

May 16, 2025 saw a range of activities in Hue to commemorate the 200th birth anniversary of renowned cultural luminary Dang Huy Tru. The Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, in collaboration with the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Hue City, held a seminar titled "Commemorating the 200th Birth Anniversary of Cultural Luminary and Founder of Vietnamese Photography Dang Huy Tru ."
