On May 4, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, on behalf of the leadership and people of Hue City, sent a letter of appreciation to valued domestic and international visitors who chose Hue as their destination during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day holiday and the holidays of Reunification Day (April 30) and International Workers' Day (May 1). On the morning of April 28th, Hue Central Hospital held a ceremony to introduce the 3.0 Tesla MRI system - SIGNA Pioneer. Attendees included Mr. Pham Duc Tien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Council; Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the city People’s Committee, along with representatives of various departments and agencies.

In the atmosphere of commemorating the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026), and the 140th anniversary of International Workers' Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2026), on the morning of April 27, Mr. Trinh Van Quyet, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, and Head of the Central Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization, visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiary families, poor households, and households in difficult circumstances in Hue City.

On the evening of April 24, Hue City Intelligent Operations Center (HueIOC) held a ceremony to mark its 20th anniversary of establishment and development (April 27, 2006 - April 27, 2026).

On the afternoon of April 23, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, along with representatives from relevant departments and sectors, received and held a working session with a delegation from the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City, led by Mr. Alexander Dmitrievich Sidoruk, Consul General.

On April 22, the project “Hue - A plastic-reduced smart city in Central Vietnam” project (TVA project), in collaboration with the City Department of Education and Training, organized the award ceremony and closing event for the “Global citizens, leading plastic reduction” contest.

The review and adjustment of Hue’s urban master plan to 2045, with a vision toward 2065, marks a pivotal moment for the city’s future development. As Hue has recently become a centrally-run governed municipality, the planning process goes beyond merely updating technical indicators or redefining urban boundaries; it opens an opportunity to redefine a long-term development vision for one of Vietnam’s most distinctive heritage cities.

On the morning of April 15th, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Head of the city’s National Assembly Deputies Delegation, along with a working delegation, inspected the progress of investment and construction of primary and lower secondary boarding inter-level schools (inter-level schools, for short) in A Luoi 3 and A Luoi 4 communes.

Concluding the official visit to provinces in Lao People’s Democratic Republic, on the afternoon of April 12th, a delegation from Hue City led by Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the City People’s Committee, visited, held talks, and extended Bunpimay New Year 2026 greetings in Savannakhet Province. On the side of Savannakhet Province, the delegation was received by Mr. Daovone Xaysoulien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Government, along with leaders of relevant departments and sectors.

On the afternoon of April 9th, a delegation from Hue, led by Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the City People’s Committee, paid a visit, held working sessions, and extended Bunpimay New Year greetings in Salavan Province, Lao PDR.
