The 10th Hue City Sports Festival 2026 officially opened as the traditional torch lit at Ho Chi Minh Museum, then arrived at the sports arena in the City’s Cultural and Sports Square. Beyond celebrating the strength of the sports movement, the event also reflects Hue’s aspirations to develop sports in a way that preserves its identity and reinforces its new standing in a new era.

On the afternoon of October 24, the ‘Japan - Vietnam Friendship Piano Concert’ at Song Huong Theater brought together Japanese pianist ASAKURA Sumire and young talents from Hue Academy of Music for a musical encounter. Organized by the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang in coordination with Hue City Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association, the concert conveyed a message of understanding, friendship, and a shared aspiration to cultivate good values.

Alongside aspirations for future UNESCO inscription, Hue Nam Temple Festival (also known as Hon Chen Temple Festival) is increasingly being viewed as a distinctive form of spiritual tourism. Born in 2003, H’La Vi Bkrông, an Ede student from Dak Lak Province, is in the final stage of her studies in English Language at the University of Foreign Languages, Hue University. Choosing Hue as the place to pursue her education, La Vi brought with her not only academic aspirations but also a love of music that had been nurtured since childhood.

More than just a series of promotional activities showcasing one of the world’s most beautiful bays, the program “Lang Co – World Beautiful Bay 2026” reflects the local community’s aspiration to build a green, civilized, and environmentally friendly tourism destination, with local communities and indigenous values serving as the foundation for sustainable development.

The 5th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2026, with the message “Books - Knowledge - Aspiration for National Development”, organized by Hue City Department of Culture and Sports, officially opened on the morning of April 21st at Hue City Library (29A Le Quy Don Street, Thuan Hoa Ward).
