During their spring outings, beyond visiting heritage sites and familiar attractions, many travelers to Hue have chosen a distinctive way to experience Tet: seeking out traditional craft spaces, personally experiencing hands-on activities, and creating handmade products imbued with the rich cultural identity of Hue Ancient Capital.

On the morning of February 5, a delegation from Salavan Province, Lao People's Democratic Republic, led by Comrade Daovong Phonekeo, Member of the Central Committee of Lao People's Revolutionary Party and Secretary of Salavan Provincial Party Committee, visited and extended Tet greetings to the leaders of Hue City.

On the afternoon of February 4, Mr. Phan Quy Phuong, Standing Member of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, held a courtesy reception for a delegation from Champasak Province (Lao People’s Democratic Republic). The delegation visited, extended Tet greetings, and congratulated the success of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The delegation was led by Mr. Somboun Heuangvongsa, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, and Vice Chairman of the Champasak Provincial Administration Committee.

On the afternoon of December 25, Hue City Department of Health held a conference to review the pilot model for “Food safety market in food and beverage services business” at Tay Loc Market. This is one of the city's key traditional markets, serving not only as a food source for locals, but also as a popular destination for tourists visiting and experiencing Hue's culinary culture.

As Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20th) approaches, many teachers in flood-stricken areas are still busy battling natural disasters. Flood after flood, they persistently cling to their schools and classrooms, visiting each disadvantaged student to offer support and encouragement. In these difficult places, their work is quiet yet unwavering – just like their love for the profession and affection for their students, which never runs dry.

On the morning of November 18th, a working delegation from the Central Youth Union, led by Mr. Bui Quang Huy, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, and First Secretary of the Central Youth Union, visited Hue City to congratulate Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20th) and to give gifts to children and youth affected by the flood in Hue City.

It was a stroll through images and fond memories of Quoc Tu Giam (Imperial Academy) - a relic of the Nguyen Dynasty nestled in the heart of Hue Ancient Capital. The site is expected to undergo restoration this November, with a total investment of over 108 billion VND.

A friend of mine just came from the Southeastern region to visit Hue. After a day visiting various destinations, from the Imperial Citadel to the tombs of Emperors Gia Long and Minh Mang, then heading to the Van Thanh - Vo Thanh temples and Thien Mu Pagoda, my friend warmly remarked: “In Hue, wherever you go, you can see the Huong River. Now I understand why people here are so gentle and friendly. In this scene, by this river, it’s hard even to get upset!”.

On July 27, the Tourism Department announced that the number of tourists visiting Hue in the first 7 months of 2025 exceeded 4 million arrivals, significantly higher than that of 2024, which reached 3,9 million arrivals.
