“Books and Ao Dai - Nurturing Intellect and Honoring Vietnamese Identity” was the theme of an exhibition held by the City Library on the morning of July 9 at No. 29A Le Quy Don St. (Thuan Hoa Ward).

On the afternoon of July 8th, at Co Mat Vien - Tam Toa, Hue Festival 2026 Organizing Committee officially launched the photography contest ‘Hue - Ancient Capital, New Experiences’. The competition is part of Hue Festival 2026 and aims to promote Hue as a city of heritage, culture, ecology, scenic beauty, and hospitality to both domestic and international audiences.

On the evening of July 8th, at Hue City Center for Culture and Cinema, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with Hue City People's Committee, held the closing ceremony of the 2026 Three-Region Folk Instrumental Music and Folk Singing Festival. During the ceremony, the organizing committee presented numerous awards to outstanding artistic ensembles, individuals, performances, and programs.

In response to the National Concentrated Promotion Program launched by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, from July 1 to 31, the Department of Industry and Trade is organizing the first Hue City Sales Promotion Month in 2026.

On the afternoon of July 8, Hue City Department of Culture and Sports, in collaboration with Hoang Sy Club as well as various dance and folk dance clubs, teams, and groups, organized the “Ao Dai Dance 2026” exchange program in response to Hue Ao Dai Week 2026.

Having withstood countless historical upheavals, tens of thousands of precious Nguyen Dynasty Woodblocks were inscribed on UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register in 2009, becoming Viet Nam’s first World Documentary Heritage. They are currently preserved under strict archival conditions at the National Archives Center No. IV in Da Lat (now located in Cam Ly Ward, Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province).

On the evening of July 6, the Department of Education and Training held a ceremony to award scholarships to students and prizes to teachers who achieved outstanding results in the City-level Competition to Select Grade 12 Excellent Students in History for the 2025-2026 academic year.

From June 26 to 28, at 62 Trang Tien Street, Hoan Kiem Ward, Hanoi, the distinctive products, specialties, and cultural values of the Ancient Capital came together in the ‘Hue Thuong’ program, part of ‘The Vitality of Vietnamese Goods’ programme No. 8. The program not only brought the essence of Hue to the heart of the Capital, but also created a space connecting local products with consumers nationwide through a combination of in-person experiences and e-commerce.

On July 6, the Youth Union and Student Association of the University of Education, Hue University, held a send-off ceremony for the 2026 Green Summer Student Volunteer Campaign, with the participation of 62 student volunteers.

On the morning of July 6, Hue City Museum of History opened an exhibition themed “School Ao-dai” at its headquarters at 268 Dien Bien Phu Street, Thuan Hoa Ward, Hue City.
