This was one of the highlights shared at a conference summarizing activities in 2024 and deploying tasks in 2025 of Hue City Hotel Association, which took place on the late afternoon of January 10. Attending the conference were leaders of departments, agencies of Hue City, Vietnam Tourism Association, and Hue City Tourism Association.

On the morning of January 9, the Department of Tourism in collaboration with Chan May Port Joint Stock Company and Saigontourist Travel Services Co., Ltd held a program of welcoming the first cruise ship and tourists to Hue City by sea in 2025.

On the first day of the new year, a ceremony to announce the National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025 was held at Ngo Mon Square by the People’s Committee of Hue City.

On the morning of January 1, Hue City Department of Tourism in collaboration with the Central Region Airport Authority at Phu Bai International Airport, Phu Bai International Airport, and the Vietnam Airlines branch in Hue, along with Pacific Airlines organized a program to welcome the first flight and visitors to Hue City in 2025. Attending the event was Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Standing member of the City Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee.

Renowned as an ancient heritage city, Hue has emerged as a popular destination for both domestic and international filmmakers. Every architectural structure, scenic spot, or landmark in Hue can serve as a backdrop for different genres of films, ranging from feature to short ones. Highland markets in Thua Thien Hue are gradually establishing their unique role in the lives of ethnic minority communities. These markets serve as places for people to exchange goods, promote local products, and simultaneously boost tourism and socio-economic development.

The tourism potential and resources in localities are abundant, and favorable for developing community tourism, and rural agricultural tourism, etc.

The tourism sector will convey the messages about plastic-free tourist destinations and tours through the promotion on at least 3 platforms with the highest reach of tourists.
