Following the proposal of Hue City Department of Culture and Sports, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, signed a decision to designate 18 sites across the city as city-level historical and cultural relics. Hue City People’s Committee announced the information on April 17th.

Such is the title of a book recently released by Thuan Hoa Publishing House in late March 2026. The more than 20 articles included in the book are the result of a dedicated process of research, documentation, and fieldwork by its two authors, Nguyen Duc Loc and Le Thi Mai An (currently working at the Hue City Museum of History).

On March 12, Hue City Department of Culture and Sports announced that Hue City Relic Dossier Appraisal Council (the Council) held a meeting to review scientific dossiers proposing the classification and adjustments of the protection zones for relics in the city.

In 2026, Hue City Museum of History aims to conduct surveys, research and upgrade 2 dossiers for nomination as special national relics, and prepare 8 new dossiers to request recognition as city-level relics.

From early 2026, in addition to maintaining current ticket prices, Hue City will significantly expand the groups eligible for free and discounted entrance fees to heritage sites within the Hue Complex of Monuments. The move aims to facilitate access to heritage for residents and students, and to promote sustainable tourism demand.

But truly, if tourists could “embrace” this Hue’s weather, they will not only fully experience all the senses with the specialty of Hue rain, but can also feel Hue more vivid and authentical in its profound and peaceful space.

Nearly 5 years into implementation, the project “Promoting the Value of Ho Chi Minh Relics in Hue City to Serve Tourism Development” for the 2021-2025 period has attracted participation from nearly 10 travel agencies offering tours to the Ho Chi Minh Museum and other relic sites.

On September 11, the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue City announced that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism had issued a decision to rank two relic sites in the city as national relic sites.

From August 30 to September 1, 2025 (the 8th, 9th, and 10th days of the Lunar July), tourists and local people will enjoy free entrance to Hue Nam relic (Hon Chen Temple) during Hue Nam Temple Festival.
