After five editions, the VnExpress Marathon Hue has made tangible contributions to the city’s overall development landscape. Its sixth edition (taking place from April 17 to 19) is no exception, promising to provide a strong impetus for Hue’s strategy in developing sports, tourism and socio-economic growth.

Phu Bai Industrial Park is steadily asserting its role as a key growth driver of the locality, making significant contributions to the socio-economic development of Phu Bai Ward in particular and the city in general. Production lines operating across industrial parks, new factories set to break ground, and infrastructure projects nearing completion are all helping shape Hue’s emerging industrial landscape, raising expectations for a strong growth driver in 2026.

The synchronous investment in infrastructure across economic and industrial zones is opening a new development space for Hue, while also enhancing its capacity to attract large-scale projects, and creating a ripple effect for the growth of supporting industries, logistics services, and import-export activities.

On the afternoon of March 18, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People’s Committee, chaired a meeting to review the city’s economic growth performance, along with growth scenarios for the first quarter and the whole of 2026. The meeting was attended by the Vice Chairmen of the City People’s Committee and leaders of relevant departments and agencies.

To achieve double-digit growth target for the 2026 - 2030 period, Hue City is focusing on increasing and effectively utilizing investment resources.

On the afternoon of March 12, Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Member of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee, chaired a working session with credit institutions operating in the city.

The first international flight of the year 2024 just landed at Phu Bai International Airport on January 10th, carrying 226 Korean passengers who have come to visit and experience Hue.
