After five editions, the VnExpress Marathon Hue has made tangible contributions to the city’s overall development landscape. Its sixth edition (taking place from April 17 to 19) is no exception, promising to provide a strong impetus for Hue’s strategy in developing sports, tourism and socio-economic growth.

On the morning of April 19, the University of Economics, Hue University, held “The Job Fair Day 1 - 2026”, serving as a bridge between the university, businesses, and students.

On the evening of April 17, Hue City People’s Committee held a ceremony to honor and confer the title of “Honorary Citizen of Hue City” to Mr. Kang Bong Jun, a South Korean national, General Director of SMC Hue Co. On the afternoon of March 18, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People’s Committee, chaired a meeting to review the city’s economic growth performance, along with growth scenarios for the first quarter and the whole of 2026. The meeting was attended by the Vice Chairmen of the City People’s Committee and leaders of relevant departments and agencies.

On the afternoon of March 13th, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh inspected the preparations for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term in the communes of Khe Tre, Long Quang and Nam Dong District.
