On the morning of October 28th, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a send-off ceremony for Hue's Sports Delegation ahead of the 10th National Sports Games 2026. With strong determination and a commitment to fair play, the delegation aims to win 6 - 8 gold medals at this year's event.

Hue City Center for Disease Control (Hue CDC), in coordination with the National Institute of Nutrition under the Ministry of Health, is surveying and collecting samples of food products and popular dishes in the city, with the aim of supplementing data and contributing to the completion of Vietnam’s Food Composition Table.

As part of the 2026 National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction, the Hue City Center for Disease Control (Hue CDC) is distributing nutritional products to commune health stations. On the morning of October 22, the City’s Cooperative Alliance held a review and closing event for Project AIN8748, titled ‘Evidence-Based Forestry Decision-Making, Sustainable Forest Management, and Certification of Small-Scale Plantation Forests in Vietnam’. The project was funded by Finland’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs through the Food and Forest Development Finland (FFD).

Hue City aims to attract USD 1.2 - 1.4 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) during the 2026 - 2030 period. Beyond increasing investment capital, the city is targeting projects that apply modern technologies, create jobs, boost production and strengthen links with domestic businesses.

On the afternoon of October 20th, Hue City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the City Border Guard Command signed a cooperation program for the 2026-2030 period. The program aims to improve the effectiveness of cultural, sports, tourism, information, communications and external information activities in border and coastal areas, while supporting efforts to safeguard territorial sovereignty and national border security.

On the afternoon of October 16, the Ministry of Education and Training held a scientific seminar entitled ‘Applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries’ at Hue University. Prof. Dr. Le Quan, Deputy Minister of Education and Training, attended and chaired the seminar.

On October 14 in Hanoi, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Hue City People’s Committee signed an Action plan for cooperation on the development of culture, sports, and tourism through 2030. Hue City is the first locality to sign such a cooperation plan, aiming to tap into the potential and advantages of the city as a heritage city, a Festival City, and a distinctive cultural center of Vietnam.

With a new approach that shifts from ''preserving and exploiting individual monuments'' to ''connecting and leveraging the entire heritage system,'' the Project titled ''Leveraging the Value of President Ho Chi Minh Relics in Hue City for Tourism Development (2026 - 2030)'' (hereinafter referred to as the Project) also aims to address uneven heritage promotion and the lack of system-wide connectivity among historic sites.

On the morning of October 10, Hue City Police, in coordination with the University of Law, Hue University, and the Department of Education and Training, held the launch ceremony for the ‘Not Alone’ 2026 campaign under the message ‘Connect Without Harm’. The campaign aims to raise awareness, equip students with skills, and build a support network to protect them from online safety risks.

The tourism sector will convey the messages about plastic-free tourist destinations and tours through the promotion on at least 3 platforms with the highest reach of tourists.
