On the morning of September 21, the University of Arts, Hue University, held the opening ceremony for the 2026 - 2027 academic year, welcoming 327 new students, and announcing the decision to award it the Certificate of Institutional Education Accreditation.

On the morning of September 20th, Hue City Federation of Labor organized a program to provide support for disadvantaged union members, workers and children of union members at the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year, combined with Mid-Autumn Festival activities for the children. Early in the morning, in a three-bay house filled with sea air in Phuong Loc Village (Phu Vinh Commune), 73-year-old Tran Van Than, surrounded by bamboo baskets, miniature boats, and coracles, was moving his hands skillfully with thin bamboo strips. Having spent decades making a living from the sea, though his health no longer allows him to work at sea, his deep affection for his hometown’s sea lives on through every product he makes.

On the morning of September 5th, joining the nationwide back-to-school atmosphere, Hue City People’s Committee held the opening ceremony for the 2026–2027 academic year and inaugurated inter-level boarding schools in land-border communes.

This is the surviving lychee (hac le chi) tree, believed to have been grown from three lychee fruits bestowed upon the palace by the emperor. The tree casts shade over a corner of the palace, and its trunk is so wide that it would take several people to embrace it.
