On August 18, the Women’s Union of Dan Dien Commune in collaboration with Hue Hearts Fund held a ceremony to award scholarships to students overcoming difficult circumstances.

In 2020, when male officials and civil servants of the Department of Culture and Sports wore ao dai during working days and the weekly flag-raising ceremony, it immediately sparked controversy online. Then, it was not just the cultural sector, at important events, the provincial leaders (now Hue City) and intellectuals also began wearing ao dai. The appearance of the traditional ao dai for both men and women at cultural and educational events made the ceremonies more solemn, elegant, and impressive.

From July 21st to 31st, Hue City Center for Disease Control organized a series of activities across local communities to implement the Action Plan of Hue City’s National Nutrition Strategy for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2045.

It was just another ordinary day at the Center for Nursing and Care for the Meritorious in Hue City - a place that welcomes revolution contributors, and policy beneficiaries each year. It is also a long-term home for dozens of war invalids, sick soldiers, and relatives of martyrs who have no one to rely on. The Center is currently caring for ten elderly women. Most of them live alone and have special circumstances, but here they are cared for with wholehearted attention and dedication.

In Da Lay commune (Da Teh district, Lam Dong province), the new homeland of the people from Hue today, it is hard to recognize the traces of the hardships from nearly half a century ago. Responding to the “Ao Dai Week”, women across A Luoi have been donning their traditional ao dai, shining in costumes made from Zeng fabric. The fusion of ao dai Vietnam with the intricate patterns of A Luoi Zeng fabric creates a look that is both graceful and deeply rich heritage value.

Through investments in machinery, modernized production methods, adherence to food safety and hygiene standards, diversified designs, etc., many women have contributed to gradually elevating traditional craft products.

On the afternoon of March 3, the Women’s Union in collaboration with the Phu Xuan District Labor Federation of Hue City held the Cultural and Sports Festival. The program attracted over 300 female cadres, union’s members, officers, and workers.

On the afternoon of January 20, at Hue Central Hospital, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City in collaboration with the City’s Women Entrepreneurs Association, the Women’s Intellectuals Association of the hospital, the Hospital’s Women Affairs Committee, and the Social Work - Customer Service Department held a program titled “Spring of Love” for patients.
