HNN.VN - More than 142 visually impaired women have received vocational training, and over 68,000 gift packages have been distributed; these were among the notable achievements highlighted at the conference reviewing 10 years of implementing the coordinated support program for visually impaired women (2016 - 2026 period), and the five-year review of the Compassionate Homes program, held on the morning of June 2 at the City Association of the Blind.

Over the past 10 years, the City Association of the Blind has directed its affiliated units to prioritize vocational training for visually impaired women. As a result, 142 women have participated in training courses in cottage industry, animal husbandry, and rehabilitation massage.

Since 2016, with the support of the authorities, organizations, individuals, and benefactors, the City Association of the Blind has mobilized resources to provide more than 68,000 gift packages to visually impaired women and children, with a total value of over 20 billion VND.

On this occasion, the City Association of the Blind presented certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the coordinated support program for visually impaired women. Delegates also exchanged views and proposed various solutions to further improve the effectiveness of care and support for visually impaired women and children in the coming time.
