Of more than 350 artisans from the 69 well-known craft villages across the country participating in Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023, artisan Phan Thi Thuan and her booth of the Phung Xa weaving village attracts many visitors because of her unique product: silk from lotus fibers.

Just at the beginning of the beach tourism season, the beaches in Quang Cong and Quang Ngan communes (Quang Dien district) have already attracted a large number of visitors to visit and relax. This is the initial result from the self-renewal efforts and the methodical investments.

Coming to Ngu My Thanh, visitors can engage in many activities with the local people, experience water activities, including seeking clams with feet, trawling, harvesting, knitting nets, and fishing.

Within the framework of Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023, the Japanese ceramic exhibition “Yakishime - Shape of the Earth” offers visitors a unique perspective on the craft of the land of Fusang. The exhibition is held by the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam in collaboration with Hue Museum of Fine Arts. The exhibition is opened from April 27th to May 14th at the Diem Phung Thi Art Center.

Many interesting activities took place, such as the performing calligraphy demonstration themed "Vietnamese spirit"; displaying and giving calligraphy works to visitors as well as guiding visitors through calligraphy writing.

The cultural spaces of Vietnamese and international craft villages seem to bring visitors to the quintessence of the craft villages with the performances of various sophisticated skills to create unique products, making unmistakable values of each craft village.

Specifically, from April 29th to May 3rd, Thua Thien Hue tourism welcomed 99,000 visitor arrivals, an increase of 80% compared to 2022, in which there were about 36.3 thousand international visitors, an increase of 26 times. Guest stay is estimated at 54.4 thousand people, an increase of 70%.

After being organized for four days, the culinary festival themed “The Quintessence of Noodle making craft” at Hue Traditional Craft Festival ended on the evening of May 2 at Thuong Bac Park, with a night to honor the culinary values and gratitude to the contributors of the festival.

Cecile Le Pham Fine Arts Museum (53 Ham Nghi, Hue City) is a newly launched non-public museum that welcomes visitors. This is the passion of Ms. Cecile Le Pham (a Vietnamese French person) after nearly 30 years of collecting artifacts from all over the world.
