On January 4, the “Xuan Hong” (“Red Spring”) blood donation and organ donation registration festival was co-organized by the Hue Regional Blood Transfusion Center, the Medical Training Center, the Human Organ Transplantation center, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hue Central Hospital, the Provincial Red Cross, the Blood Bank Club of the Ancient Capital, and the Blood Bank Club of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

On May 9, at Hue Central Hospital, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong bestowed a certificate of merit of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to the team of the trans-Vietnam heart transplantation as the case had been successfully performed by the experts of the Hospital.

Facing less favourable weather in the days after Tet holiday, with their usual hard-working unyielding spirit, local farmers put their springtime activities on hold to go to the fields and take care of their rice.
