In Doc So (Doc So residential group, Huong An Ward), the craft of making Vietnamese conical hats was once practised in nearly every household. Today, the tradition is at risk of disappearing, with only around 20 people in the village still practising the craft. ​

On October 11th, Vietnam Publishers Association, in coordination with Hue City Youth Union and Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted, organized a Reading Culture Festival for Youth Union members and young people, attracting 300 participants. On the evening of October 4th, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, held its traditional torch procession, white coat presentation, torch handover and scholarship awards for new students as part of the 2026 - 2027 academic year welcome festival with the theme of 'Passing the Torch of the White Coat'.

The rhythmic clang of hammers rings out from blacksmiths’ forges, the scent of fresh wood fills carpentry workshops, and artisans work with bamboo strips, conical hat frames, needles and thread. Each craft has its own tasks, and each artisan has a personal way of keeping the tradition alive. The resulting products bear the distinctive marks of their craft villages and reflect the diligence and skill of the craftsmen.

In Binh Dien Commune, people with knowledge of Pa Hy culture are directly teaching traditional folk songs, dances, and musical instruments to younger generations. Through the Pa Hy Traditional Folk Song Club, the cultural heritage continues to be passed down.

On the evening of September 25, An Cuu Ward People’s Committee held the 2026 Full Moon Festival for nearly 500 children in the ward, featuring a variety of recreational activities, musical performances, a lantern procession, and a traditional Mid-Autumn feast.

On the afternoon of September 24, a delegation from the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission had a working meeting with Hue Monuments Conservation Center to discuss the preservation and promotion of Hue’s cultural heritage, traditional performing arts, and the application of science and technology in heritage digitalization.

On the evening of September 24th, as part of the Autumn Festival - Hue Festival 2026, the grounds of Kien Trung Palace will come alive with the colors of the Mid-Autumn Festival, featuring a lantern festival, royal court games, and an artistic program steeped in Hue’s traditional cultural heritage.
