The establishment and development of Hue Union of Literature and Arts Associations - abbreviated as the “Union” (originating from Thua Thien National Salvation Cultural Association in 1945), marks an important milestone in Hue’s cultural history. With the development trends of the new era, many craft villages have fallen into decline, with fragmented production, a lack of capital, and outdated technology. These difficulties are major barriers that cause traditional crafts to lose their place in today's socio-economic life gradually.

For centuries, the land of Hue has been renowned for the skillful hands of its artisans. This region is a place not only preserves the cultural heritage of the imperial court, but also serves as the cradle that maintains and develops hundreds of unique traditional craft villages. However, in the face of global integration trends, Hue’s craft villages are confronting numerous challenges.

To ensure good preparation for the Opening Ceremony of the academic year 2025 - 2026, linked to the 80th Anniversary Ceremony of the Traditional Day of Education sector, held online nationwide on the morning of September 5, the Department of Education and Training (DoET) established inspection teams on September 4. These teams were tasked with assessing the preparation and guiding the organization of the new academic year's opening ceremony at educational institutions across the city.

The 36th Hue City traditional boat racing - 2025 kicked off on the morning of September 2 on the North bank of the Huong River, about 300 meters from Nghinh Luong Dinh Pavilion towards Da Vien Bridge. The event was held to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day (September 2), and it also served as a competitive sport for the 10th Hue City Sports Festival - 2026.
