The intense competition among domestic tourism destinations and the increasing demand of visitors require further investment in infrastructure and modernization of destinations, including high-end infrastructure and accommodation services.

After more than 20 years of waiting, the first restoration of an ancient rường house (beamed house) among 21 ones in Bao Vinh Ancient Town, Huong Vinh Ward, Hue City, began in early November 2024. The project aims to restore the house to its original Hue-style beam architecture, contributing to urban revitalization, and promoting tourism and services in Bao Vinh Ancient Town.

In 2023, tourism activities in the area of Hue City have recovered and shown good growth. The number of tourists visiting Hue has increased significantly, especially international tourists, leading to a substantial rise in the overall retail sales of goods and services. This contributed to Hue City achieving and surpassing all 12 economic and social targets for the year.

On the morning of June 26, the Department of Tourism coordinated with Vietnam National Halal Company Limited held a conference named “Introducing Halal standards – a Muslim friendly service” to create favorable conditions for the businesses in the provincial area access to the overview of Muslim tourism; Halal food; the Muslim friendly services; demands on Halal standards, and Halal certification programs.
