The appellation Maypaperflower is now quite familiar to many paper flower lovers, not only in Hue but also in many provinces and cities at home and abroad. To bring paper flowers to many world countries, Phan Ngoc Hieu has overcome a journey full of hardships and challenges. Talking with Thua Thien Hue Newspaper, this young girl shared an energetic story about her dream of bringing paper flowers to the West.

Though without the vibrant flowers adorning the streets and alleys, nor the sweet confections filling every kitchen, the excitement and national pride on Independence Day remain undiminished in the hearts of every Vietnamese citizen. The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has just issued a decision to recognize “The Knowledge of Making and Wearing Hue Ao dai” of Thua Thien Hue Province as part of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List. This serves as an impetus for the Thua Thien Hue Garment Association to promote the introduction of the five-panel Ao dai into schools.

On the morning of August 25, on the routes around the Hue Imperial Citadel, Hue City People’s Committee held an event to launch a pilot bike route every Sunday morning. The event had the participation of Hue City leaders, along with hundreds of cadres and locals.

After waiting for nearly 2 hours on the beach of Giang Hai Commune (Phu Loc), Mr. Thuan started to collect the net. Ironically, the net only had a few small fish when he pulled it up. Meanwhile, just a few hundred meters away, Mr. Hai's net was full of fish waiting to be picked.

On August 20, the College of Tourism - Hue University held a 2024 Job Fair. This was the first time that the college held this activity.

Thuy Xuan hill area, Hue city is famous for ancient pagodas such as Tu Hieu, Dong Thuyen, Bao Lam, Chau Lam, Dieu Nghiem, etc. Being lost in the clouds and wind with many rows of pine trees rustling on these hillsides in the early morning or at dusk, and listening to the sound of temple bells ringing in the wind and the steady sound of wooden bell echoing from the pagodas make my heart strangely calm and peaceful.
