On August 23, in Huong An and Hoa Chau wards, Hue City Women’s Union, in coordination with the Children of Viet Nam (COV), organized a program to provide livelihood models for single mothers and scholarships and learning support packages for children facing difficult circumstances in the two wards.

On August 20, the Women’s Union of Dan Dien Commune held a scholarship awarding program titled ‘Together with You on Your Journey to School’, providing support to 52 disadvantaged students in the commune ahead of the new school year.

On the morning of August 17, in Khe Tre Commune, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly, the Thien Tam Fund (Vingroup), and the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, in coordination with Saigon Eye Hospital - Song Han, held a humanitarian eye-screening program for ethnic minority people in the two mountainous communes of Khe Tre and Long Quang.

On August 15, Vietravel Hue officially launched its 2026 Autumn Promotion Programme under the theme ‘Set off for the golden season - Welcome a thousand good things’.

This is one of Hue City's aspirations and strategic directions for destination marketing and communications, as shared at a 2026 networking program for Multi-Channel Network (MCN) companies, content creator management agencies, and KOLs. Organized by Hue City People's Committee on the afternoon of August 14 under the theme ‘Converging Excellence - Spreading Hue's Identity’, the event was attended by Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Member of Hue City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee.

On August 12, Hue City Rehabilitation Hospital, in collaboration with the Department of Home Affairs and VietHealth Orthopedic Co. Ltd., launched a program to provide medical examinations, consultations, assessments, maintenance, and repairs of prosthetic limbs for people who have made contributions to the revolution in Hue City.

In commemoration of the 65th anniversary of the Agent Orange Disaster in Vietnam (August 10th, 1961 - August 10th, 2026), on August 10th, Hue City Military Command, in coordination with Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, relevant organizations, and the city's Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, organized a gift-giving program for Agent Orange victims facing particularly difficult circumstances in A Luoi 4 Commune.

After more than three weeks, the training program on Hue-Singing (Ca Hue) performance skills for more than 180 music teachers from primary schools across Hue City, organized by the Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with the Department of Education and Training, concluded on the afternoon of July 31.

On the afternoon of July 29, the Youth Union - Student Association of the College of Hue organized the charity program ‘Compassionate Summer’ at the Long Tho Pagoda Support Center for Children with Disabilities.

Visiting ‘Hue Beef Noodle Soup Day’ as part of the ‘Hue - Culinary Capital 2026’ program, I am reminded of Miss Noodle from folk legend and the late, famous American chef Anthony Bourdain.
