More than a month of being carried out, the archaeological excavation has revealed the foundation of Dai Cung Mon - the main gate of the Forbidden City of the Nguyen Dynasty. This is an important step forward in reconstructing the architectural symbol destroyed by war nearly 80 years ago.

For three nights, from April 25 to 27, at Di Nhien Duong Pavilion - an ancient architectural structure in Thieu Phuong Garden - within Hue Imperial Citadel, Hue Monuments Conservation Center collaborated with the Doi Dep tea brand to organize the program “Re-enacting the scene of the emperors hosting tea party for his mandarins” as part of the launch of the Royal tea enjoyment service.

Co Ha - the famous royal garden of Hue’s Imperial Capital during the Nguyen Dynasty, has almost lost its architectural traces through time and historical events. However, thanks to the collection, digitization, and analysis of archival photos, an intact Co Ha is being revealed, truly embodying the meaning of “class”.

Ancient chrysanthemums, a symbol frequently found in heritage structures, clothing, and jewelry of the Nguyen Dynasty, have left their traces but seem to have disappeared from Hue. Meanwhile, the appreciation for these flowers continues as a quiet passion among some "scholars of Ha Thanh".

On the morning of January 22 (the lunar December 23), Hue Monuments Conservation Center held the bamboo pole erection ceremony inside Hue Imperial Citadel, following the ritual under the Nguyen Dynasty.

“Coloring heritage” and “Hue Art Memory Game” featuring traditional Vietnamese motifs from the Nguyen Dynasty are part of the “Heritage education” program for 2024, jointly organized by Hue Monuments Conservation Center and GEKE (German society for the Preservation of cultural heritage). The program is held at Phung Tien Temple in Hue Imperial Citadel and is entirely free for children.

The 200 antique objects including pottery and ceramics which are not only connected with Buddhism but also valuable heritage are on display to the public at the Museum of Nguyen Dynasty Commissioned Porcelains.

In an effort to collect and duplicate documents for the work of relic renovation and preservation, Hue Monuments Conservation Center has sent its staff to the Overseas National Archives (ANOM) in the city of Aix en Provence and the École Française d'Extrême-Orient (EFEO) in Paris to access the source of documents related to the Nguyen Dynasty.

An Lang (An Mausoleum), the shared mausoleum of three regal generations of the Nguyen Dynasty, including Emperor Duc Duc (the father), Emperor Thanh Thai (the son), and Emperor Duy Tan (the grandson), is located on Duy Tan Street, An Cuu Ward, Hue City.
