Hue, a central region with harsh weather. The summer sun burns the skin, and the rainy season brings constant flooding, making it very difficult to grow flowers. Yet, Hue has changed a lot. Visitors returning from afar, after strolling through Hue’s streets, are often surprised and delighted, exclaiming: “Hue has so many beautiful flowers these days!”

The Community Ao dai Week, which kicked off the Summer Festival 2025 in early June, has drawn a large number of designers, models, artists, cultural experts, and researchers, etc. Each participant acts as an ambassador, promoting Hue Ao dai in particular and the traditional Ao dai Vietnam in general.

On the morning of June 7, the Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Federation of Hue City launched the 2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign in Phu Luong Commune, Phu Vang District. On the morning of June 1st, in Vinh Thanh Commune (Phu Vang District), the People's Committee of Hue City, in coordination with the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army and Military Region 4, organized a program in response to World Environment Day, Vietnam Sea and Island Week, and launched the “Summer Youth Volunteer” campaign, and the “Youth with the Homeland’s Seas and Islands” program 2025.

On the evening of June 1, Hue City’s Youth Activity Center organized the opening ceremony for its summer activities and the final round of the 2025 International Folk Dance and Modern Dance Festival.

The beginning of summer is considered the start of the peak season for domestic tourists. It is also the time when Hue is striving to maintain and attract international visitors. By developing programs under the “Four-season Festival” orientation, this summer’s festival will feature many unique and captivating activities to attract tourists.

On the morning of October 15, the Provincial Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Federation held a ceremony to honor outstanding collectives and individuals in the summer youth volunteer movement in the period of 2000 – 2024.

“Just one rain in Hue makes it be winter” is how Minh Tu, the journalist, borrowed the ancients to describe Hue rain in the long-running series titled “The awaited rains” in Tuoi Tre newspaper. It could also because the rains always bring a sense of melancholy to Hue, even the rains in the middle of summer days.

On the afternoon of August 8, as part of the 2024 Summer School in Mathematical Physics, Professor Robert Seiringer, from the Institute of Science and Technology Austria, delivered a lecture on the topic “Mathematics as the Universal Language of Nature”.
