The work of collecting and digitizing documents is incredibly important and has never been enough to effectively carry out the restoration of cultural heritage. For the cultural heritage of Hue, this need is even more urgent as the Complex of Monuments of Hue Imperial City still has many structures awaiting sufficient documentation to complete scientific files for restoration purposes.

In parallel with the Festival, Hue has become one of the focal points for attracting, gathering, and spreading cultural values, serving as an environment and opportunity to revive and illuminate Hue’s cultural heritage.

On December 21, at Hai Van Frontier Post (Hai Van Quan) relic, Hue Monuments Conservation Center collaborated with the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang City to hold a ceremony announcing the completion of the project to preserve, restore, and promote the value of the Hai Van Frontier Post national relic site.

For the first time, artisans and skilled workers are honored for their significant contributions to the preservation and restoration of historical monuments.

The project "Preservation, renovation, restoration of Tu Duc Mausoleum", including Dien Hoa Khiem (Royal palace for worship and ceremonies), Minh Khiem Duong (Ceremonial pavilion), On Khiem Duong (Pavilion for royal functions), rampart, gate, and screen wall is being implemented by the Hue Monuments Conservation Center (HMCC).

After nearly 5 years of construction, the Project is expected to be completed by the end of 2023. The restoration of Kien Trung Palace has a great meaning in the process of restoring the values of Hue's royal architectural heritage.
