On April 10th, the General Library of Hue City announced its coordination with various organizations to host numerous events and activities throughout April in celebration of the 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025.

This was the theme of a workshop organized by Hue Book and Culture Club, within the framework of the “Hue of Love” Book Fair, held on the afternoon of April 9 at Hue Book and Culture Space (at 23 - 25 Le Loi Street).

The organizing committee of the Cultural Reading Ambassador Contest 2025 announced on March 19th that the preliminary round will accept submissions from now until June 15th.

“Reading - experiencing in Hue cultural space” is an interesting activity organized by Ly Thuong Kiet Primary School in collaboration with Hue Book and Culture Club, on the morning of January 11 at 23 - 25 Le Loi Street.

That is the topic of a workshop held on the afternoon of December 7 at 23 - 25 Le Loi Street (Hue City), featuring a talk by Nguyen Chi Ngan, a lecturer from the Division of Anthropology, Archaeology, and Tourism Culture, Faculty of History, University of Sciences, Hue University. The event was organized by Hue Books and Culture Club.

Launched in April, the 2024 Reading Culture Ambassador Contest attracted 16.358 entries from 120 primary schools, secondary schools, and high schools in the provincial area.

On October 25, a representative from Thua Thien Hue General Library announced that the 2024 Reading Culture Ambassador Contest, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, has concluded and awarded prizes. Thua Thien Hue has won 3 prizes this year.

On June 18, a free reading station was launched on the train connecting heritages between Hue and Da Nang, featuring around 150 books set up by the Provincial Development Research Institute in collaboration with other units and projects.

Compared to their peers living in Hue City and the lowlands, children in the mountainous and remote Nam Dong and A Luoi districts are at a significant disadvantage in terms of access to information technology, books, and age-appropriate publications. However, thanks to the efforts of the education sector, local authorities, and schools, the reading spaces for children in these places are increasingly being supplemented with a variety of books and periodicals, helping them have more "good friends" during their breaks or extracurricular activities.

The 2024 Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day kicked off on the morning of April 19th at Hue Provincial General Library with many activities.
