On the afternoon of July 27, Deputy Secretary of Hue City Party Committee, Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh chaired a conference to review the progress of the ‘500 Days and Nights Campaign’ to accelerate the search, recovery, and identification of fallen soldiers’ remains, along with the program to replace temporary and dilapidated houses for the biological children of resistance fighters exposed to Agent Orange/dioxin across the city.

Marking the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), on the afternoon of July 23, Hue City’s leadership authorized the Department of Home Affairs, led by the Department’s Deputy Director Do Minh Long, to visit and present gifts to people with meritorious service and policy beneficiary families in various wards and communes, including: Binh Dien, Huong Tra, and Kim Tra.

To advance the education development goals set out in Politburo Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW, National Assembly Resolution No. 248/2025/QH15, and Government Decree No. 271/2026/ND-CP on free textbooks for general education, the city’s leaders have approved a policy to provide free textbooks to all students across the city starting from the 2026-2027 academic year.

The People's Committee of Hue City has issued Plan No. 318/KH-UBND to implement the Action Program for carrying out the Politburo's Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW on the development of Vietnamese culture in the new era. According to the Center for Investment, Trade and Business Support, Hue City People’s Committee has approved the investment policy for a project to plant large-timber forests combined with growing medicinal herbs under the forest canopy in Binh Dien Commune.

On the afternoon of June 21st, Hue City Women's Union coordinated with Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Foundation (Germany) to organize a training program on applying policy dialogue skills in practice for women's union officials and members.

In line with the policy of expanding foreign relations and international cooperation in the People’s Public Security Force, as well as the 2026 cooperation plan between Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security and Cambodia’s Ministry of Interior, from June 16 to 20, 2026, a delegation from Hue City Police, led by Major General Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Director of Hue City Police, had a official visit to Siem Reap Provincial Police in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

On the afternoon of May 13th, the Women’s Union, in coordination with the Youth Union of Thuy Xuan Ward and sponsoring units, organized the launch ceremony for the “Kitchen of Love” model and signed a partnership program to support gas stoves for poor households, near-poor households, policy beneficiary families, and disadvantaged households in the ward.

On the afternoon of May 8th, the Standing Committee of Hue City Party Committee held a working session with a delegation from the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST), led by Prof. Dr. Tran Hong Thai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission, and President of VAST, to assess the implementation results of the 2025–2030 science and technology cooperation agreement between the two parties.
