In Bao Vinh Old Town, Ms. Tran Thi Minh Phung still carefully holds her brush each day to paint on glass, just as her family has done for generations. As most of the artisans from the old days have nearly disappeared, the hands of this woman in her fifties have become a place where a craft once closely associated with the royal art of Hue is being preserved.

During this Binh Ngo Lunar New Year, the community of Hue heritage enthusiasts receive good news. That is the comeback of the once-renowned lien lang Chuon (the Chuon village decorative scroll). The journey of reviving this valuable type of folk painting, which has been lost for some time, is a long story which took not only sweat, buy also dedication of young people who love the heritage.

Offering both a fresh artistic experience and a way to preserve the vibrant emotions of spring, the workshop on paintings to hang up for Tet led by young artist Tuyet Loan at An Yen Station (Phu Xuan Ward) has become a tranquil gathering place where participants immerse themselves in radiant brushstrokes.

Alongside the famous horse paintings by renowned artist Le Ba Dang, art lovers have been able to admire many other works sharing the same horse theme on the occasion of Binh Ngo Spring 2026.

The exhibition “Memories lit by colors” by two artists, namely Hoang Dang Khanh and Tran Anh Huy, unfolds like a story of life’s memories told through painting, evoking a profound sense of emotion in viewers.

While horses in the paintings of artist Le Ba Dang encompass a full range of emotions, diverse artistic techniques, and span multiple creative periods, the horses depicted by today’s later-generation artists likewise reveal distinctive, strongly individual styles.

Mossy temples, royal mausoleums, ancient pagodas and the beautiful scenery granted to the former capital city all together form an “urban poem.” And that beauty of Hue is even more gorgeous through eyes of talented painters.

On the afternoon of January 4, the volunteer program “Radiant Spring Vibe” took place at the first-floor lobby of the Oncology Center at Hue Central Hospital, creating a warm, caring atmosphere for patients undergoing treatment in the oncology department and pediatric radiotherapy unit. The charity event was jointly organized by the “One Painting - Many Hopes” project and the City Women Business Association.

Dozens of paintings, considered rare treasures by generations of Hue’s renowned artists, have just been unveiled to the public. These works are now displayed at Lebadang Art Space of the Hue Museum of Fine Arts (No.15 Le Loi Street, Thuan Hoa Ward). The 75 pieces showcased in this exhibition belong to an art collection that the Museum has patiently and devotedly gathered over many years.

Once considered “trendy” yet “hard to appreciate”, in recent years, the hobby of collecting artworks has become a familiar passion for many people, especially Hue people, who live in a land rich in culture and art.

The stunningly beautiful carved images on Cuu Dinh (Nine Dynastic Urns) inside Hue Imperial City have become even more fascinating and unique as they have been transformed into wood-carved paintings by a group of experts and artists.

With a combination of vignette, patterns of colors and Lepironia grass products, painters from Marie's brand have created artistic, exquisite and eye-catching bags, backpacks, hats, suitcases, and conical hats.
