More than 450 artworks by students were submitted to compete in the preliminary round of the 2025 Children’s Book-Inspired Drawing Contest with the theme “Ao dai and Childhood”.

Bustling energy, vibrant Zèng patterns, the echo of gongs blending with joyful laughter – together, they paint a vivid picture of the highlands in springtime, full of life and colors.

On April 2nd, Hue Museum of Fine Arts announced the conclusion of the creating program on the theme “Traditional Art of A Luoi”.

In Hue City, the number of conductors is not high, and formally trained conductors are even fewer, with currently only one person: Mr. Nguyen Hoang Nhu Y (born 1987), who works at the Department of Composition, Conducting, and Musicology at the Hue Academy of Music.

In the years from 1930 to 1937, painter Mai Trung Thu was appointed to teach drawing at Quoc Hoc High School. Here, his talent blossomed. Series of his paintings were born, depicting gentle Hue girls, the charming scenery of the Huong river and the temples and royal mausoleums. His paintings in Hue rendered him a solid position in modern Vietnamese painting.

“Sky, Mountains, Water | Allusive Panorama” is a painting exhibition organized by the Art Republik Vietnam magazine in collaboration with Hue Monuments Conservation Center and the French Institute in Vietnam. It will take place from March 25 and last for two weeks at Kien Trung Palace, Hue Imperial Citadel.

On the afternoon of March 22, at Le Ba Dang Art Center, which is a part of Hue Museum of Fine Arts (15 Le Loi Street, Thuan Hoa District), a representative of the family of the late sculptor and painter Le Thanh Nhon donated the painter’s works to the Hue Museum of Fine Arts.
