As a “healing” landscape designing trend, the emergency of forests in the city not only provides relaxation spaces but also connects people and brings them closer to nature.

On September 18th, the People's Committee of Vinh Xuan Commune (Phu Vang District) held a ceremony to receive the certificate recognizing Vietnam heritage trees. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Sinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment; Professor, Dr. Dang Huy Huynh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment, and Chairman of the Heritage Tree Council attended the ceremony.

On the afternoon of August 8, as part of the 2024 Summer School in Mathematical Physics, Professor Robert Seiringer, from the Institute of Science and Technology Austria, delivered a lecture on the topic “Mathematics as the Universal Language of Nature”.

On the morning of July 28, the project “Hue - A City to Reduce Plastics in Central Vietnam”, funded by the World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF) - Norway (through the WWF - Vietnam), received by Hue City People's Committee, in collaboration with the Provincial Department of Tourism, organized the inauguration of 5 waiting lounges and free water stations at tourist destinations, including: Thien Mu Pagoda, Bao Vinh Ancient Town, Ban Nguyet Bridge - Me Wharf, Vong Canh Hill, and Sinh Village wrestling area (Hue City).

In the wake of the archaeological excavation lasting nearly 2 months at the Lieu Coc Twin Towers monument, the team of experts proposed expanding the archaeological excavation area to further clarify the scale and original structure, nature, characteristics, and date of the monument.

On the morning of June 7th, at Hue Children Hall, the Biodiversity Conservation component, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in collaboration with the World Wide Fund for Nature in Vietnam (WWF-Vietnam), Helvetas, and the Forest Protection Department, organized the opening ceremony of the “For the sustainable life of nature and people” exhibition. This event is part of the “Sustainable Forest management and Biodiversity conservation” (VFBC) project.

Such is the message of Hue Plogging 2024 event held at Thuan An beach on June 2nd. The event was organized by Hue - A City to Reduce Plastics in Central Vietnam project, funded by WWF-Norway (through the World Wide Fund for Nature in Vietnam, WWF-Vietnam, and received by the People's Committee of Hue City), in collaboration with Hue Urban Environment and Public Works Joint Stock Company (HEPCO). Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee, attended the event.

Recreating nature, landscapes, and living spaces on a much smaller scale, Kim Anh, a girl from Phu Loc, has found a new horizon through miniatures.

On the morning of May 24th, Phu Loc Town Secondary School in Phu Loc District held a ceremony to obtain the recognition of its tropical almond tree as a Vietnamese heritage tree. The event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Thang, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Association for Conservation of nature and environment.

The Central Coast Museum of Nature (henceforth the Museum) was established in 2009, and its specimen display space was officially open to the public in 2020. Though still being in its “infancy”, the Museum’s exhibition space has attracted many scientists, researchers, and young people who are passionate about learning and experiencing nature conservation and biodiversity.
