The first kidney transplant in 2001 put Hue Central Hospital on the organ transplant map of Vietnam. To date, the unit has operated on 1,500 cases, which meant it has sparked hope for rebirth for 1,500 people who are on the brink of death.

The awarding ceremony was held on the night of December 2, in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of guests and locals involving in creating the artwork. On April 20, Hoang Tuan Long, an architect from Ho Chi Minh City, confirmed that he would continue to implement the volunteer community project of the work "Map of Vietnam" made from giang toothpicks at the BOARC exhibition – the Exhibition of handmade creative designs, which is due to take place from April 28 to May 5 (within the framework of Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023).
