The 20th International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC 2026) officially opened on the morning of August 27th. Hue is taking part in the event with a joint stall shared by Quang Tri, Hue and Danang.

With a width of around 80m, the Hue Wonderverse Music Fest 2026 stage is considered the largest ever built for the festival, with capacity for over 50,000 spectators. Construction and installation are being expedited to ensure everything is ready for the two concert nights on August 30 and September 1.

Located southwest of Hue’s Imperial Citadel, at an elevation of more than 430 meters above sea level, Mount Kim Phung has long been a destination for nature lovers who wish to conquer its summit and take in a panoramic view of Hue city.

The 28-page special edition of Hue Today celebrating National Day on September 2 will be published in place of the Hue Today Weekly issue scheduled for August 30, and the regular Hue Today issues scheduled for August 31 and September 1.

From August 25 to 27, an intensive training program for Happy School trainers for the 2026-2027 academic year was held in Hue, bringing together a core team of education officials and teachers. The program marks an important preparatory step toward integrating the spirit and values of Happy Schools into educational institutions across the city.

On the morning of August 25, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society held a conference in Hue to review the implementation process and share the outcomes of the project ‘Supporting the Recovery and Reconstruction of Schools Affected by Floods in 2025 in Hue and Danang’.

By day, they are music teachers, bakers, or bartenders; by night, they become singers and musicians on small stages of coffee shops and community music nights. It is this very passion that helps many young people in Hue keep the flame of music alive, contributing to an accessible and vibrant live music scene.

Hue is a heritage city, but Hue’s cultural strength does not lie solely in its citadel, palaces, royal tombs, or historic architecture. Behind these tangible forms of heritage lies a vibrant world of music, festivals, beliefs, traditional crafts, cuisine, clothing, and folk knowledge. This is the ‘soul’ that gives Hue its distinctive identity.

The exhibition, through the language of photography, aims to strengthen Hue City's cultural diplomacy and expand cooperation with diplomatic missions of ASEAN countries in Vietnam. It will also help promote Hue as a heritage city and a distinctive Festival City of Vietnam, as well as an attractive cultural and tourism destination in the Central region. ​
