Nestled within the Hoa My Resistance Zone (Phong Dien Ward), a permanent exhibition space has officially opened its doors to visitors. Images and artifacts on display vividly recreate Hue’s land of rich revolutionary traditions within the space "Hoa My - where history left its golden traces".

On the evening of July 6, the Department of Education and Training held a ceremony to award scholarships to students and prizes to teachers who achieved outstanding results in the City-level Competition to Select Grade 12 Excellent Students in History for the 2025-2026 academic year.

On the afternoon of May 19, the exhibition “Hue - A Historical Legacy and a Journey of Rising in a New Era” was organized by the City Museum of History at Huong Tra High School in Huong Tra Ward.

Nearly 200 high school students took part in an “outdoor lesson” right within a heritage space, where historical knowledge was accessed through games, challenges, and hands-on experience, making it more vivid and easier to remember.

Whether by fate or extraordinary circumstance, within just 42 days, one tank company had the honor of participating in the liberation of all three major cities in southern Vietnam: Hue, Da Nang, and Saigon. The tracks of their tanks stretched over a thousand kilometers from A Luoi (Hue) to the Independence Palace, where they smashed through the gates and raised the victorious revolutionary flag atop the building, signaling total victory. That unit was Company XT4 of the heroic 203rd Tank Brigade.

Building a digital data infrastructure to preserve history on maps is the mission that Le Quang Tue, founder and manager of the Vietnam Map Archive project, and his team members have been quietly pursuing. To date, Tue’s team has digitized over 200 ancient maps of Vietnam, including ancient maps of Hue.

More than a month of being carried out, the archaeological excavation has revealed the foundation of Dai Cung Mon - the main gate of the Forbidden City of the Nguyen Dynasty. This is an important step forward in reconstructing the architectural symbol destroyed by war nearly 80 years ago.
