Awards presented for “Exploring the history of the formation and development of Dong Ba Market (1899 - 2024)” contest
HNN.VN - The Management Board of Dong Ba Market organized a review and award ceremony for the contest “Exploring the History of the Formation and Development of Dong Ba Market (1899 - 2024)”. This was one of many meaningful activities in the series of events commemorating the 126th anniversary of the formation and development of Dong Ba Market (August 23rd, 1899 - August 23rd, 2025).

The contest was conducted in the form of a multiple-choice quiz consisting of 20 questions, compiled based on the book The History of the Formation and Development of Dong Ba Market (1899 – 2024). The content focused on key historical milestones, notable events, the market’s development process, as well as Dong Ba Market’s significant contributions to the economic, cultural, and social life of Hue through different periods.
After nearly one month of launch, the contest attracted nearly 1.000 participants, including small traders, local residents, and visitors. The organizers assessed that the contest was not only an intellectual playground, but also an opportunity for the community to gain deeper understanding, strengthen attachment, and together spread pride in a market rich in traditional value.
At the closing ceremony, outstanding individuals were honored, with 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 4 consolation prizes awarded, recognizing participants’ efforts and earnest spirit of learning. Through this contest, the Dong Ba Market Management Board aims to continue spreading the historical and cultural values of the market, while building its image as a destination that is “civilized, friendly, safe, and rich in identity”, affirming Dong Ba Market’s status as a symbolic traditional market of Hue.
