The image of people jogging daily on the streets and alleys of Hue has become familiar. From this widespread grassroots movement, Hue has become a destination for national-level running events.

The spring afternoon sunshine on Vong Canh Hill convers the landscape with a golden glow, filtering through the whispering pine canopies and stretching silent shadows across the ground. A gentle breeze drifts by, carrying the fragrance of grass and trees along with the mild and damp scent of the winding Perfume River below.

Amidst the scorching hot in April, Bao Chau’s photos, which recorded the scene of Pho Trach villagers (Phong Binh, Phong Dien) harvesting Bang grass (Lepironia articulata) in the green field, like gentle gifts for all eyes. Under Chau's photo angles, Pho Trach is rich and peaceful in every hand movement, the smiles of the villagers in each step, from harvesting Bang grass in the field, drying, preliminary processing the grass, to making it into valuable handicrafts.

It is rumored that there is a species of fragrant sweet flag growing from underwater on both sides of the Huong River upstream, which makes the river fragrant. I have heard about this fragrant grass associated with the legend about the name of the Huong River, but I have never seen it with my own eyes.
