Going through many generations, the traditional drum-making craft of the Co Tu people has gradually faded, remaining only in the memories of a few elders. In Doi Village, Khe Tre Commune, artisan and village elder Vuong Van Cua is one of the last people still preserving the ancient secrets of making traditional Co Tu drums.

The companionship of UNESCO and the international community has not only helped Hue’s heritage overcome difficult times but also gradually brought the preservation efforts of Hue’s heritage to reach international standards.

Along with the recovery and growth in tourist numbers, the luxury travel segment within Vietnam’s tourism industry in general - and Hue’s in particular - is gradually gaining attraction. Following the approval of the project to build a community-based beach tourism model in Hai Duong Commune, now in Thuan An Ward, Thuan Hoa District, by Hue City People's Council (formerly) in July 2023, the infrastructure in this place is gradually being completed, serving the sightseeing and swimming needs of locals and visitors, contributing to enhancing the economic value of the beach and lagoon.
