Turning Hai Duong into an impressive beach tourism destination

HNN.VN - Following the approval of the project to build a community-based beach tourism model in Hai Duong Commune, now in Thuan An Ward, Thuan Hoa District, by Hue City People's Council (formerly) in July 2023, the infrastructure in this place is gradually being completed, serving the sightseeing and swimming needs of locals and visitors, contributing to enhancing the economic value of the beach and lagoon.

Located about 15km from the center of Hue City, Hai Duong beach covers an area of about 10km2, in Thuan An Ward, Thuan Hoa District. Dubbed a “virtual living paradise” with peaceful space, pristine beauty, and beautiful natural scenery on the beach, it has attracted many locals and visitors to visit, check-in, and swim.

To complete the infrastructure, the People's Committee of Hai Duong Commune (formerly), now Thuan An Ward, has been investing in building a 1 km-long residential road leading to the beach, installing a lighting system and parking lot, as well as preparing to build a square in the center of the beach; at the same time, re-planning business households, and renovating infrastructure to welcome guests during the beach tourism season this year.

According to the Vice Chairman of Thuan An Ward People's Committee, Mr. Huynh Van Thong, the residential road leading to Hai Duong beach and the lighting system have been basically completed. The ward is preparing human resources to renovate and dredge the sand-filled areas at the two beaches of Hai Duong and Thuan An to welcome visitors to visit and swim during the beach tourism season; at the same time, continue to implement the remaining items of the project to turn Hai Duong into an impressive and attractive beach tourism destination.

The goal of the project to build a community-based beach tourism model is to build a sustainable, branded, and quality community-based tourism model that is economically effective and preserves the ecology of the beach area, contributing to the development of tourism in a green and sustainable direction, forming an attractive tourism destination, and attracting visitors, to increase income and create livelihoods for the locals. The project also orients the planning of beach tourism development in the overall development of the coastal city in the area of Hue City; in which, building a square area, a beach service area, a mixed service area, a transportation system, a parking system and a protective forest area.

According to the Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Acting Chairman of Thuan Hoa District People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Bach, to exploit the potential and promote the advantages of beach tourism, the district is aiming to combine the development of tourism infrastructure with the diversification of tourism products and specialties, focusing on exploiting the potential of culture, ecology and traditional craft villages to create unique and attractive tourism products; in which, prioritize the development of typical tourism products, including beach ecotourism, Ru Cha - Con Te lagoon, building a community-based beach tourism model in Hai Duong with the goal of increasing the economic value of the beach and lagoon, and increasing income for the locals.
