On the afternoon of January 15, the City’s Sports Training and Competition Center held a review and commendation ceremony honoring coaches and athletes who were awarded prestigious State titles and achieved outstanding results at the 33rd SEA Games.

The 10th National Sports Games are scheduled for November 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, and Dong Thap. Hue sports teams are expected to compete in 16 disciplines, including football, swimming and diving, archery, badminton, chess, Chinese chess, sepak takraw, shuttlecock kicking, and athletics.

The Chess and Chinese Chess Tournament at the 10th City Sports Games (2025-2026) kicked off on the morning of December 26 at the City Library (No.29A Le Quy Don Street). This marks the 9th and 10th events of the Games, following boat racing, karate, taekwondo, shuttlecock kicking, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, and vovinam.

On the morning of December 20 - 21, the Vovinam Tournament under the 10th Hue City Sports Games in 2025 - 2026 officially kicked off at the City Youth Activities Center. It is the eighth sport featured at this year’s Games, following traditional boat racing, karate, taekwondo, shuttlecock kicking, volleyball, badminton, and table tennis.

On the afternoon of December 18, Hue wrestling shone brightly after securing a hat-trick of 3 gold medals in the women’s freestyle events, marking a remarkable feat not only at the SEA Games arena.

“Vietnam Sports Administration (Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism) has just issued a decision to establish Vietnam Sports Delegation for SEA Games 33, in which Hue sports contributes 1 coach and 7 athletes,” said Bui Thanh Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture & Sports on the afternoon of November 28th. ​

With excellent achievements at the 2025 National Classical and Freestyle Wrestling Championship, key figures of Hue City’s wrestling team continue to affirm their determination to conquer the peak at the 33rd SEA Games.

To date, Hue Sports has essentially finalized the athletes who will join the Vietnamese delegation at the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand later this year, amid hopes for the most successful Games yet.

Once again, Hue wrestling left audiences jaw-dropped as three sisters competed at the same SEA Games and captured three of the four slots in women’s freestyle wrestling at SEA Games 33.
