From over 200 nominations and 15.000 votes, the program “Vietnam’s Top 7 Impressions 2023”, held by the editorial board of Sai Gon Tiep Thi (Saigon Marketing), under the group of Saigon Times, has identified 35 most impressive destinations and tourist experiences. Thua Thien Hue has 3 destinations of 3 categories listed in the “Vietnam’s Top 7 Impressions 2023”.

On the occasion of a recent working trip to Hue and attending a conference themed “The modernization process in Hue and Central Vietnam during the French colonial period”, a delegation of experts and scientists from France and Japan had a visit and working session with Hue Monuments Conservation Center at Tang Thu Lau (Archive Pavilion).

Recently, the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province and the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (AmCham Vietnam) co-hosted a conference titled: “Green Transitioning for Economic Prosperity: Future for East-West Corridor”. Mr. John Rockhold, President of AmCham Vietnam, foreign diplomatic missions, businesses, experts, and investors from Vietnam, the United States, Laos, and Thailand attended the conference.

On the afternoon of December 4, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong had a courtesy meeting and exchange with H.E. Shawn Steil, the Canadian Ambassador to Vietnam to promote cooperation in the fields of education and training, culture (Hue Festival), climate change tackling and environmental protection.

The awarding ceremony was held on the night of December 2, in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of guests and locals involving in creating the artwork. The Map of Vietnam made by BOARC art style set the record with the largest number of participants from the Northern, Central, and Southern regions.

Along with six typical dishes of Hue that have been honored, many other dishes from the localities in Thua Thien Hue could continue to make it into the top "1,000 typical Vietnamese culinary dishes" and contribute to promoting the Vietnamese brand globally through culinary culture.

On the evening of November 22, the opening ceremony of an art exhibition on exchanging paintings by artists from Vietnam and South Korea, with the theme "Accompany", took place at Thieu Phuong Garden, Hue Imperial Citadel.

“Tham” is an art exhibition held by Vietnam Truc Chi Art in collaboration with the Management Board of Hoan Kiem Lake and Ha Noi Old Town from November 19 to December 3 at the Cultural Art Center, No.22 Hang Buom Street (Hanoi). This is an activity in response to the Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2023.

As the Department of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced, on November 18th, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Dinh Toan Thang, Vietnamese Ambassador to France, Ms. Le Thi Hong Van, Head of the Permanent Delegation of Vietnam to United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Ms. Le Thi Thu Hien, Director General of the Department of Cultural Heritage, together with representatives from Ministry of Public Security (Vietnam), the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, and UNESCO, witnessed the transfer ceremony of the ‘Emperor’s Treasure’ golden seal to Vietnam on the afternoon of November 16th at the Vietnamese Embassy in France.

Thai Hoa Palace, the symbol of imperial power of the Nguyen dynasty, set to be built by Emperor Gia Long in 1805, is currently being undergoing a restoration funded by nearly 130 billion Vietnamese dong from the state budget. The comprehensive conservation and restoration project of Thai Hoa Palace relic began in late 2021 and is scheduled for completion in 2025.
