The chrysanthemum fields grown for the upcoming Lunar New Year of the Horse in Thanh Thuy Ward have been devastated, leaving flower growers with heavy hearts. Everything they have cultivated over the past three months has been swept away by floodwaters.

“Dear everyone! Let's join hands to make Hue clean and beautiful again soon!” - I paused for a long moment in front of that message - a message sent out by HEPCO (Hue Urban Environment and Public Works Joint Stock Company) just as the floodwaters in Hue slowly, little by little, receded, revealing massive amounts of trash and damaged items submerged in the murky water.

As the floodwaters receded, mud and scattered trash are left everywhere. These days, workers from Hue Urban Environment and Public Works Joint Stock Company (HEPCO) are straining themselves amid the smell of mud, murky water, and trash to restore the city's clean appearance.

As the complex developments of heavy rains and floods continued, from the afternoon to evening of October 22nd, officials of Duong No Ward set up checkpoints and assisted residents in safely crossing flooded areas.
