Production and business associated with environmental protection are chosen by businesses in the tourism sector, both helping businesses develop sustainably and leaving an impression on tourists when participating in the experience.

With the goal of building environmentally friendly Green Transport infrastructure, in line with the overall economic development orientation of the province in the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, on June 14, Hue Monuments Conservation Center and Gbike Co., Ltd. (South Korea) signed a cooperation agreement to implement a green transport project in the relic area to exploit and promote the values of Hue relics.

A two-place drop in the 2023 PCI (Provincial Competitiveness Index) in the rankings notwithstanding, many component indexes have improved significantly, speaking volumes for the province's efforts in improving the investment and business environment in recent years.

Such is the message of Hue Plogging 2024 event held at Thuan An beach on June 2nd. The event was organized by Hue - A City to Reduce Plastics in Central Vietnam project, funded by WWF-Norway (through the World Wide Fund for Nature in Vietnam, WWF-Vietnam, and received by the People's Committee of Hue City), in collaboration with Hue Urban Environment and Public Works Joint Stock Company (HEPCO). On the morning of May 24th, Phu Loc Town Secondary School in Phu Loc District held a ceremony to obtain the recognition of its tropical almond tree as a Vietnamese heritage tree. The event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Thang, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Association for Conservation of nature and environment.

On the evening of March 23rd, from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., the “Lights Out” program took place to respond to the 2024 “Earth Hour” event. This year’s event was launched by the Ministry of Industry and Trade with the message “Save electricity - Make it a habit” to spread the spirit of joining hands to save energy and protect the environment to the entire community.

Phu Son Waste Treatment Plant (in Phu Son commune, Huong Thuy town) was invested in and built by EB Environmental Energy Ltd. Co. at a cost of roughly 1.7 trillion Vietnamese dong. The plant officially commence operations at the end of January 2024, playing an crucial role in effectively addressing the waste management issue and ensuring environmental hygiene in Thua Thien Hue province - a pressing concern for the community as landfills in Thuy Phuong have reached capacity, disrupting residents’ lives with foul odors emanating from overflowing landfills.

Thua Thien Hue prioritizes mobilizing resources, focusing on accelerating investment in key infrastructure development projects. At the same time, the city gradually improves the investment environment to attract more large enterprises.

On March 10, the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University organized the Open Day program, attracting the participation of more than 700 12th grade students from high schools in Thua Thien Hue province.

On the morning of February 17th, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, Principal of Phu Loc Town Secondary School (Phu Loc District), announced that the century-old tropical almond tree in the schoolyard has been recognized by the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment as a Vietnamese Heritage Tree.
