The exhibition titled “HER-ITAGE - Restructuring Traditional Embroidery”, held in late September, left many emotions and beautiful impressions on visitors and Hue residents with bridal gowns that carry cultural stories. At the exhibition, viewers could see firsthand the delicate, creative, and soaring carvings, inlays, and cuts of Vietnamese traditional embroidery art shown on vivid patterns of bridal gowns, including Hue royal motifs.

Unique artworks with six-layer cut specimens - a visual metaphor for the heritage reconstruction process - are on display at an exhibition themed “HER-ITAGE - Reconstructing traditional embroidery”, offering viewers a new and interesting experience.

On December 24, Korean Institute of Traditional Culture Research and ORIHERI announced that Nguyen Ngoc Phon, a 23-year-old representative from Hue (of Doan Trang Embroidery and Sewing Service & Trade Co., Ltd.), surpassed more than 2,000 contestants worldwide to secure third prize at the World Grand Prix Supreme Model Contest and Seoul Beauty Fashion Festival 2024 (World Champion Model and Beauty Fashion Festival in Seoul - Korea 2024).

Modern hand embroidery stitches, characterized by their delicate, meticulous, and harmonious beauty, are being widely applied in daily life, adding elegance to clothing, bags, pillows, wallets, and decorative items.

At the invitation of the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan to attend the International Gold Embroidery and Jewelry Festival, taking place from May 3 - 5 in Bukhara City, Ms. Nguyen Thi Doan Trang, artisan, designer, and Director of Doan Trang Embroidery and Sewing Trading and Service Co., Ltd. (at 2/56 Bach Dang Street, Gia Hoi Ward, Hue City), was honored to be the Vietnamese representative winning the third prize.

Graduated from a pedagogy school, then attached to embroidery profession, yet the Director of Doan Trang Embroidery Trading & Service Co. Ltd. has an endless passion for Ao Dai and has been the Ao Dai designer for the last 10 years. She has confirmed her name through fashion shows at home and abroad.
