This morning (September 5), more than 302,000 students across the city joined in the nationwide atmosphere of excitement, officially beginning the 2026 - 2027 academic year, as the Opening Ceremony was held simultaneously at educational institutions.

From August 25 to 27, an intensive training program for Happy School trainers for the 2026-2027 academic year was held in Hue, bringing together a core team of education officials and teachers. To ensure good preparation for the Opening Ceremony of the academic year 2025 - 2026, linked to the 80th Anniversary Ceremony of the Traditional Day of Education sector, held online nationwide on the morning of September 5, the Department of Education and Training (DoET) established inspection teams on September 4. These teams were tasked with assessing the preparation and guiding the organization of the new academic year's opening ceremony at educational institutions across the city.

On June 26, the National Assembly approved a Resolution on tuition fee exemption and support for preschool children, general education students, and learners of general education programs in educational institutions within the national education system.
