On January 24th, at Nguyen Tri Phuong Secondary School, Hue City Department of Education and Training (DOET) organized the Secondary School Science and Engineering Competition for the 2025-2026 academic year.

On the afternoon of January 23rd, the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University held a graduation ceremony and awarded doctoral, master’s, engineer and veterinarian degrees for Phase 1 of 2026.

According to the leaders of Phong Quang, Phong Phu wards… in the early days of 2026, fishermen along the former Ngu Dien nearshore coastal area have continuously landed bumper early-season herring catches, generating substantial income after short fishing trips. On January 19, according to the information released by the Department of Tourism, Hue City was named “Domestic Destination of 2025” as part of the HOTLIST Travellive Editor’s Pick - an annual prestigious program launched and organized by Travellive Media Group to honor outstanding brands, destinations, and individuals for their positive contributions to the development of Vietnam’s tourism industry.

In Hue, the traditional Lunar New Year “Tet” does not arrive with fanfare. It begins quietly in the kitchen, from a pot of banh tet (a cylindrical sticky rice cake with mung beans and pork) glowing over the fire, from the warm scent of ginger, from a jar of mixed pickled vegetables. Just by looking at these dishes, people in Hue know that Tet is very near.

In 2025, Ho Chi Minh Museum collected and received 35 artifacts, contributing to enriching the source of documents and artifacts serving exhibition activities, scientific research, and long-term preservation. In addition, the unit digitized more than 1.000 documents and artifacts.

In 2026, Hue City Museum of History aims to conduct surveys, research and upgrade 2 dossiers for nomination as special national relics, and prepare 8 new dossiers to request recognition as city-level relics.

On the afternoon of January 14, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the City Party Committee, received and held an official meeting with Ms. Dong Biyou, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Da Nang, along with a delegation from the Chinese Consulate General.

Surpassing thousands of projects, a group of students from Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University, won the Encouragement Award at the “27th National Euréka Student Scientific Research Award 2025” with the project “Research and fabrication of carbon quantum dots from rice husks in the field of agricultural science.”
