As part of the 2026 National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction, the Hue City Center for Disease Control (Hue CDC) is distributing nutritional products to commune health stations. The effort aims to improve the health and nutritional status of malnourished children aged 5 to 16 in disadvantaged communes.

On October 21, the City Women’s Union, in coordination with the Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation, held a program to award scholarships, present gifts, and provide social welfare assistance to women and children in difficult circumstances in Binh Dien Commune.

On August 20, the Women’s Union of Dan Dien Commune held a scholarship awarding program titled ‘Together with You on Your Journey to School’, providing support to 52 disadvantaged students in the commune ahead of the new school year.

On July 29, the City Women’s Union, in coordination with the Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation, provided livelihood support to women members from poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households in Binh Dien Commune.

On the morning of April 9th, the Red Cross Society of Hue, in coordination with local authorities of Vinh Loc Commune, held a groundbreaking ceremony to build houses for poor fishermen under the “Safety for Poor and Disadvantaged Fishermen” program, launched by Vietnam Red Cross Society.

On the afternoon of February 9, the program “Connecting Spring, Loving Tet” was organized in Phu Loc Commune.

On the morning of January 24, the City’s Red Cross Society, in coordination with the local authorities of Chan May - Lang Co Commune and the main sponsor, Heineken Brewery Vietnam Co., Ltd., held the opening ceremony of the “Humanitarian Tet Market - Spring of Binh Ngo 2026” and presented 300 Tet gift packages to disadvantaged residents in the commune.

On October 8 and 9, a working delegation from Hue Central Hospital organized an activity to provide free medical check-ups, health consultations, and medication to over 600 disadvantaged residents in Cam Binh Commune (Ha Tinh) - an area recently affected by Storm No. 10.

On September 5, Phu Loc Commune People’s Committee coordinated with Than Huu Charity Group - social rice restaurant, and Codes Vietnam to hold a gift-giving program for disadvantaged households and poor students in the area.

Hong Thai is a commune located near the Vietnam - Laos border, recognized as one of the most economically disadvantaged areas in A Luoi. Over 91% of the population here is of Ta Oi ethnic group, with livelihoods primarily center on agriculture and forestry.
