With the target of facilitating the formation acceleration of coastal urban areas for the local socioeconomic and tourism development, the project of coastal road through Thua Thien Hue Province and bridge across Thuan An Estuary (Hue City) is being sped up by the investor in site clearance and construction progress.

In the framework of the XIV Contest for Selecting Excellent Students of Gifted High school in the Coastal and Northern Delta regions in 2023 held in Thai Nguyen in 2 days from July 15 to 16, Hue Quoc Hoc High school for the Gifted won 28 medals and prizes.

With a diverse ecosystem of mountains, rivers, hills, lagoons and coastal sand dunes, Hue is an attractive destination for tourists in all four seasons of the year.

Hue has come into summer with the peach of the sun and the sound of cicadas resounding on the canopy of leaves. Sometimes the spring still pours mist into the early sunrise and late sunset. With the desire to see ‘the region of weeping willow’ and the ocean in the middle of this time, we chose Tan My village (Quang Ngan commune, Quang Dien district - more than 15km north of Hue City) to enjoy the rustic, close and serene beauty of nature which is typical of the coastal village of Thua Thien on the other side of Tam Giang lagoon.

Climate change and extreme weather are aggravating coastal erosion, threatening thousands of households living along the coast of Thua Thien Hue.

Every year, before the rainy season, people in “aquaculture barns” such as Chuon lagoon, coastal communes of Phu Vang, Phu Loc, Phong Dien, Huong Tra, Hue city regularly inspects their ponds and cages to harvest fish and shrimp to avoid damage caused by storms and floods.

After the joy when the project for Thuan An Bridge and the coastal road has just commenced, Hue people are currently excitedly awaiting the project for Nguyen Hoang Street and the bridge over the Huong River – a vital project not only contributing to the beautification of Hue City but also ushering in a new turning point to foster the provincial socio-economic development.

Many families and production facilities in the coastal area of Thua Thien Hue have been focusing on brand development and improving the value of shrimp paste products. However, to expand the market for this product, cooperation between different stakeholders are necessary.

On the afternoon of April 25, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Hoang Hai Minh chaired the working session with the delegation of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to discuss the projects of smart coastal communities and green traffic in Hue City.

Recently, the planting of semi-submerged forests has been interested by the authorities and people in coastal and lagoon areas.
