On September 16, Phu Bai Ward coordinated with Thien Phuoc Charity Group from Ho Chi Minh City to organize the ‘Supporting Students on Their Way to School’ program, presenting 50 bicycles to disadvantaged students in Phu Bai and Huong Thuy wards.

To date, nearly 1,500 gifts, scholarships, bicycles, and other forms of support have been presented to students by various levels of the Women’s Union, with total funding of nearly VND 1 billion. Each gift represents an act of sharing and gives students better conditions for learning and the confidence to start the new school year.

Among Vietnamese cities, Hue stands out as an ideal city to build a future "15-Minute City." There, all daily essential needs of residents - such as work, education, shopping, healthcare, entertainment, and relaxation - can be reached within a 15-minute walk or bicycle ride. This idea is currently being pursued and researched by female architect Tran Thi Quynh Huong, a young Hue native dedicated to sustainable urban development.

In recent years, along with the orientation of building Hue into the first bicycle city in Vietnam, green transportation solutions have been increasingly emphasized, in which, the electric-assist conversion kit for bicycles developed by VierCycle, a young engineering team, is being considered a new solution, which is both modern and suitable for the characteristics of a small and peaceful city like Hue.

On the occasion of welcoming the new academic year and the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2025, on the morning of September 13, the Phu Bai Ward People's Committee, in coordination with the sponsors (including the Phuot bike mien Trung and the RR Phu Bai - Hue cycling club), organized a program to present bicycles to students in difficult circumstances in the area.

Hue City is promoting green transportation through practical solutions, including electric buses, public bicycles, charging stations, smart parking lots, and applications that support residents in changing their travel habits. This approach aligns with urban characteristics, laying the foundation for a city with low-emission, sustainable, and livable in.

On August 4th, the Youth Union and Student Association of the University of Sciences, Hue University, in coordination with the “Song de tim nhau” (“Live to find each other”) volunteer club (Ho Chi Minh City) and the Youth Union of Long Quang Commune, donated school supplies and essential goods to students in this underprivileged area.

On July 22nd, at Nguyen Tri Phuong Secondary School, the Union of Friendship Organizations, in collaboration with the Department of Education and Training, held a ceremony to present bicycles to students facing difficult circumstances in the area.

On the morning of April 19, a special event titled “Hue - Pioneer in Green Heritage Tourism Development and Bicycle City" took place at the Noon Gate Square - Hue Imperial Citadel. The event was jointly organized by Hue Monuments Conservation Center, Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC), and representatives of the GCOO brand in Vietnam – VietPM.

On April 19th, a special event titled “Hue – Developing green heritage tourism and a bicycle city” will take place at Ngo Mon Square – Hue Imperial Citadel. The event is jointly organized by Hue Monuments Conservation Center, VietPM (representative of GCOO brand in Vietnam), and Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC).

Exploring heritage can be done in many ways, but exploring it by bike offers its own unique charm. This is also an exciting experience that provides travelers with interesting and unforgettable sensations.
