Donating books, bicycles, and essentials to students in Long Quang Commune

HNN.VN - On August 4th, the Youth Union and Student Association of the University of Sciences, Hue University, in coordination with the “Song de tim nhau” (“Live to find each other”) volunteer club (Ho Chi Minh City) and the Youth Union of Long Quang Commune, donated school supplies and essential goods to students in this underprivileged area.

Accordingly, a total of 547 new textbook sets, 15 bicycles and various essential items including snacks and milk were donated to students in Long Quang Commune, with total value of the donations exceeded 140 million VND.

This effort is part of the back-to-school support program 2025, organized by the Youth Union and Student Association of the University of Sciences, Hue University. It aims to foster a spirit of volunteerism, mutual support, and compassion by assisting students in difficult circumstances as they prepare for the new academic year.

The program also aims to teach participating youths the Vietnamese tradition of solidarity and mutual aid, captured in the saying “la lanh dum la rach” (the strong help the weak).
