At the 20th Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Day event held in 2024 under the theme “20 years of thrilling journey” and accompanied by the program message “Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City” (from April 4th to 7th), the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien Hue Province participated in various promotional and marketing activities.

For the 3rd time in a row, Hue City won the ASEAN Clean Tourism City Award - an opportunity for Hue's tourism sector to effectively market its tourism business activities. With many solutions adopted by the province, maintaining the clean tourism city brand is also synonymous with strong growth in harmony with sustainable criteria.

On the morning of March 23, at Trinh Cong Son Park, Hue City People's Committee held the opening ceremony of the 3rd Hue City Traditional Boat Racing Competition, aiming to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the 78th anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnamese Sports sector, and the 49th anniversary of Thua Thien Hue's liberation day. This is also one of the activities responding to Hue Festival 2024.

On the morning of March 16th, the People's Committee of Hue City, in coordination with the Forest Protection Department, the Management Board of “Sustainable Forest Management and Biodiversity Conservation” (VFBC) Technical Support Project, and the Implementation Unit of WWF-Vietnam Biodiversity Conservation Component, organized a ceremony to launch the “Action for Wildlife” Campaign.

In order to honor Ao dai Vietnam clothing, and at the same time respond to Hue Community Ao Dai Week 2024, which is due to take place from June 24 - 30, Hue City People's Committee has just issued an official dispatch to organize the Hue Community Ao Dai Week 2024.

Within the framework of an agreement in the project “Hue - A City to Reduce Plastics in Central Vietnam” to “Practicing plastic reduction in the tourism sector", contributing to turning Hue into a plastic-reducing urban area by 2024, Thua Thien Hue Tourism Association on February 28 held a ceremony to announce the action plan to reduce plastic waste of seven units in doing hotel business in Hue City, including Villa Hue, Azerai La Résidence Hue, Melia Vinpearl Hue, EMM Hue, Muong Thanh Hue, Alba Spa Hue, and Thanh Lich.

New Year's Eve, the moment of transition between the old year and the new, always evokes a multitude of emotions for everyone. Numerous traditional cultural activities and festivities take place everywhere, bringing the vibrant atmosphere of Tet and the arrival of spring.

Alongside the significant programs and activities that have been taking place in the city to create a joyful and bustling atmosphere to welcome the Lunar New Year of Dragon, Hue City focuses on embellishing the streets to celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year), with the highlight of the 2024 Spring Festival stretching from the south bank of the Perfume River to parks and green spots in the city.

This activity has just been organized by the Organizing Committee of the “Tet Hue” program in collaboration with Hue Monuments Conservation Center on February 4.

As part of activities of Hue Festival 2024, on the morning of February 1st, at Thuong Bac Park (Tran Hung Dao Street, Hue City), the opening ceremony of the 2nd edition of Yellow Apricot Festival in Hue took place. This festival is organized to honor the distinctive flower species of the ancient capital - the Yellow Apricot of Hue.
